BRIEF OF THE UNIVERSITY LIBRARY

The University library is strategically located along the new Agbor-Warri road; it is in the functioning site of the university. The library opened with the inception of the College in 1980, in one of the classroom now housing the medical unit. Later it was transferred to its present site, at its inception. It had an initial take-off stock of about 500 volumes of books and some titles of journals. Today, the stock of the library has risen to about 27,655 volumes of books, journals and magazines. The sitting capacity is 277. Size of the library – Old site = 150 x 85sqm,

New site (i) 100 x 80 sqm (ii) 160 x 85 sqm (iii) 100 x 80 sqm.
